At Dantzaz, we view our work as a bridge, and projects like Pyrenart embody this vision perfectly. More than just a simple collaboration agreement, Pyrenart has established itself as a cross-border laboratory connecting professionals, institutions, and territories in the Aquitaine-Basque Country-Navarre Euroregion.
This space for meeting and creation is fundamental for several reasons that touch on our pillars:
1. Artistic development with a broad perspective: Pyrenart offers artists the opportunity to engage in research and international mobility, enriching their creative development with a diverse vision and constant dialogue. It is an immersion that promotes flexibility, listening, and mutual respect between different cultural contexts.
2. Weaving networks: ongoing collaboration with cultural entities and administrations in the three territories goes beyond one-off exchanges. We are building a solid infrastructure that guarantees the mobility of work, the professionalism of creators, and generosity in the exchange of knowledge. This is at the heart of our vision for the network: an ecosystem where we all grow.
3. Cultural mediation and territorial impact: bringing the arts of movement to different places in the Euroregion, from Errenteria to other key points in the Euroregional territory, means making art alive and accessible. Pyrenart allows us to bring dance to new audiences, fostering a more creative citizenry that is connected to its environment.
Pyrenart is proof that when creative energy is focused in a coordinated and professional manner, the result is a stronger, more equitable dance with real international appeal. It is an invitation to continue exploring the limits of what is possible.
Pyrenart II is 65% funded by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-France-Andorra program (POCTEFA 2021-2027). The aim of POCTEFA is to strengthen economic and social integration in the border area between Spain, France, and Andorra.
